And I’m pleased to announce a very special concert coming up at The World Cafe Live in Philadelphia.  Presented by LiveConnections, I will be teaming up with nationally renowned Carpe Diem String Quartet for a collaborative performance.  A ClasicAlive event, we will perform material from “The Plague”, They will perform selections from their repertoire – including the great Debussy string quartet – and we will also collaborate on some special surprises.  This is going to be a very unique, genre bending performance and I hope you can join us.  You can purchase advance tickets here. Due to some complications with the venue the show at NY Bagel and Deli for next Saturday 1/14 has been canceled. I will let you all know if there’s a new date, but for now the next show will be an appearance at Andrea Clearfield’s Salon in Philadelphia with The Azrael Quartet and a performance with The Prospects at Milkboy in Philadelphia.

Due to some problems with the City Kung Fu Neck Tie has to close shop for a little while and my show there tomorrow night 1/3 has been moved just down the street to The Fire (4th and Girard). On Saturday November 26th I will be joined by The Prospects and The Azrael Quartet for a WXPN Key Studio session.  This will be a performance inside the famed WXPN studios at 30th and Walnut which will be recorded and posted on The Key blog.  We are going to have an in studio audience for the performance and filming of this event and the first 15 people to RSVP by sending an email using the CONTACT page of my website will be placed on the list.  The doors will open at 5pm and the show will run from 5:30-6:30pm on Saturday November 26th.  Once I have all the names for the list I will send the exact address and specific instructions on what to do once you arrive at the studios.  I’ll be sure to let you all know when the video and recordings from the session are posted.

Also don’t forget to put our performance at The North Star Bar on Saturday Decmember 17th in your calendars!  This will be our last show of 2011 and also a performance with The Prospects and The Azrael Quartet – the combination of which I am cheekily calling “The Andrew Lipke Orchestra”
