Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well! I’m pleased to announce the next Intersect concert, Intersect #6!

Part of my ongoing collaboration with The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, this concert will feature music inspired by visual art and visual artists.  We’ll be playing works and arrangements of works by Beethoven, Lou Reed and John Cale, Nat King Cole, Don McLean, Paul McCartney, and myself.

I’m honored to be sharing the stage with The Chamber Orchestra’s concertmaster violinist Stephen Tavani, principal trumpet player Rodney Marsalis, and long time Amos Lee music director and phenomenal multi-instrumentalist Jaron Olevsky.

I’ll also be having an onstage conversation with Chamber Orchestra music director Dirk Brosse as we discuss the premiere of his new work “Pictures at an Exhibition”.

The concert is on Wednesday May 10th at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, doors are at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm.

You can purchase advanced tickets here.

I hope to see you there!

What a great Intersect of music and art! Fun interview with Dirk Brossé and superb performances by everyone. Just sorry I had no clue about the meaning behind “Cursed”. Enjoyed that one, too. Who is the author of Cursed?

    • Andrew Lipke says:

Thanks Doug! So glad you enjoyed the show!!
The song you’re referring to was “The Curse” by Josh Ritter. It’s on his album “So Runs the World Away”.
