Long time no post!

Hey everyone!

Well it’s been quite a while since I’ve written anything on this little website of mine but I assure you it isn’t due to lack of activity.  On the contrary, I’m busier than I’ve ever been and loving every moment!

But I did want to give you all an update on what’s been happening in my world and let you know of a few exciting things coming up in the near – and relatively distant – future.

First off:

-Tuesday June 17th I will be performing a set as part of the amazing band PURPLES residency at The Barbary here in Philadelphia.  We go on at 9pm and I’ll be playing my songs on electric guitar in a rock trio with my friends Chris Giraldi and Nero Catalano.  PURPLES is a fantastic band celebrating the release of their debut record that I had the distinct honor and privilege of mixing with them here in my studio.  YOU should BUY IT!

-I’ll be traveling to Colorado for another performance with the Colorado Music Festival Orchestra as we debut another symphonic mash-up – Beethoven V. Coldplay – from the mind of Steve Hackman – AKA Stereo Hideout.  I’ll also be debuting an orchestral arrangement I wrote of my song “Sleep Like A Child” from my album The Plague.

-The inimitable Philadelphia artist Amos Lee will be performing at the legendary Colorado venue Red Rocks with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra on August 1st and I have had the pleasure of doing some of the orchestral arranging for this concert.  I’m sure it’s going to be quite a memorable evening, and even though I can’t be there, if by some chance you can….you should go!

-My Led Zeppelin tribute band Get The Led Out is heading out on a national tour in the fall and on September 25th we’ll be headlining…Red Rocks! Seems like Colorado is definitely being kind to me this summer!  We’ll also be doing a bunch of dates in California and out west…so if you live out there and I haven’t seen you in a while, or we’ve never met but we should…drop me a line!

– I’ve finally finished tracking the strings for my new record and if all goes according to plan I should be able to release it by late fall.  I really can’t wait to share this music with you all…it’s unlike anything I’ve ever written and has propelled me into new realms of creative expression that continue to inspire and challenge me.

-I had the pleasure of writing some music for my friend Michael Lee Nirenberg’s documentary “Back Issues: The Hustler Magazine Story” which is out and has been getting excellent – and rightly so – reviews.  It’s certainly not for children…but deals wonderfully with a subject that is very dear to my heart; freedom of speech and resistance to censorship.

-I recently finished a collaboration with Curtis Institute string quartet in residence The Aizuri Quartet and spoken word artist Denice Frohman that I’ll be able to share with you once it’s ready…but it’s really cool!

and there’s a bunch more stuff, but I really much prefer doing things than writing about doing them so I must be off!

Hope you are all well and thanks again for being interested in my various shenanigans!
